When looking at the conditions of the penguins and the effect of global warming upon their habitats,
we realized new shelters must be created for penguins to survive changing climate.
More precipitation and warmer climates changed penguin habitats and gave us direction in our design for our penguin palace.
In order to better insulate penguins for increasing temperatures we created a shelter utilizing air pockets, insulation, and reflective metal covering. Our design was 70% environmentally friendly and extremely cost effective.
After testing our design, our caculations showed that we saved over 23 million breeding pairs of penguins.
